Photos for Missions:
Missions have always been near and dear to my heart personally. Recently I started working on a photo project with a missionary (Marco DeFelice) in Italy who my church supports. He is putting together a series of English-teaching videos as an evangelistic outreach tool, using photos to reinforce vocabulary words and concepts. And guess who gets to provide the photos?! I do!! I'm so excited to be a part of his ministry in this small capacity.
Additionally, this Fall I put together the first (maybe annual) fund-raising event to raise support for our church missions. We held back-to-back mini photo sessions, half an hour each, all day long. Every penny went into the mission fund, with the hope to further enable the spread of the Gospel through our local body.
Chance to Hope:
My dear friend since childhood, Courtney Nalin, founded Chance to Hope a Christian-based non profit organization last year "whose mission is to give financial assistance to married couples who have been diagnosed with infertility and who are pursuing family-building through medical treatment or adoption." As Mommy to two little boys, I understand the desire for family and the need to pour love into a little one's life. That's why I'm honored to partner with Chance to Hope for future photography projects and events!
